If you remember my post about a pair of young Brown Bears (Ursus arctos) playing (“Young Brown Bears Playing in the Surf”), I mentioned that you would be seeing the pair again. Well, today’s post is another series of play that I captured during my recent Hallo Bay Bear Camp visit. And they were much closer to me, making for some nice photography!
Playfighting is an important activity for young bears … it teaches them the skills they will need to survive as adult bears. And how do you start a playfight session? It’s not too difficult, just a little nip to your partner’s face is all it takes:
Then it’s play time!
Stay tuned for some more brown bear images from this fantastic trip!
