Fun Friday: Ever Feel Like Someone is Watching You?

Earlier this week, I drove down to Prairie State Park, a beautiful Missouri State Park, to photograph fall wildflowers and some prairie inhabitants. This park is located in southwest Missouri and has a (small) campground. Pitching a tent, I stayed on-site for 2 days, photographing during the early morning and late afternoon hours. I have a lot to share, so I will be featuring some of the neat and interesting things I found, over the next week of postings. But today’s post is my fun-filled “Fun Friday” post.

The subject, I believe, is a Paper Wasp (Polistes spp.), but I graciously accept any corrections. There were a lot of these little guys flying around, busy collecting all the pollen/nectar they could gather. Between their busy activity and the nuisance wind (shooting macros in a windy environment is a real challenge!), I managed to get a few images that were in focus. I especially love this closeup:

Hope everyone has a Fun Friday! :o)
