A “life” bird for me, the Green Jay (Cyanocorax yncas) is an awesome bird to see. As I photographed around a waterhole in the Rio Grande Valley this past spring, I was fortunate to have several of these beauties fly in for water. Here are a few of my favorite images:
According to my reference books, the Green Jay is only found in very southern Texas, extending down into part of northern Mexico. So, if you’re ever in the southern Rio Grande Valley of Texas, be sure to keep an eye out for the Green Jay!
