Badland’s Mule Deer

Besides the bighorn sheep, the bison, and the prairie dogs, the Badland’s prairies also have a large concentration of Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus), which also happened to be in rut during my visit. Here are a few images I collected in the early morning drives through the Badland. A rather large buck, with a small group of does:
