B and B

Today’s “B and B” post is made from some images captured the other morning on a local, Missouri prairie. As I hiked the prairie, there were a lot of small creatures, such as this Bee collecting nectar from this Butterfly Weed wildflower. Here are a few images I made of this bee as he wandered about the clump of Butterfly Weed, collecting nectar:

Right now, the prairie is alive with wildflowers and the many small creatures that inhabit or forage among them. Are you interested in learning how to make macro images? I will be conducting a morning workshop at this prairie on Monday, June 23 (rain date: Tuesday, June 24). This will be an early morning shoot where we will be photographing wildflowers and creatures of the prairie. With a little luck, we might have some dew to work with. If you are interested, please contact me by e-mail (showmenaturepix@hotmail.com) and I will give you more details.
