White-crowned Sparrow

While photographing Columbian Ground Squirrels, several White-crowned Sparrows (Zonotrichia leucophrys) would frequently fly into the Glacier Lilies and search out seeds and insects:

Photographic Equipment Used:

  • Canon
  • Canon EF100-400mm, f/4.5-5.6, IS lens
  • Handheld, with IS “On”
  • ISO 250 (top photo) and ISO 500 (bottom photo)
  • Aperture f/5.6
  • Shutter 1/400 sec. and 1/800 sec.
