As I wade through the hundreds of images captured in Rocky Mountain NP last week, I’m sharing a couple of landscape images today. While driving Trail Ridge Road, I stopped at the alpine region and photographed Horseshoe Park from above:
Did you notice the little chipmunk in the above photo? He was scurrying among the rocks and you can see him, diving for his burrow, in the rocks towards the lefthand side of the image, near the bottom.
By tomorrow’s post, I should have some more elk images ready for sharing.

- Canon EF28mm-135mm, f/3.5-f/5.6 IS lens, shot at 135mm
- Handheld, with IS “On”
- ISO 250
- Circular Polarizer used to help cut any glare
- Aperture f/5.6
- Shutter speed 1/320 sec.
