Approaching Fall Colors

Fall colors are quickly approaching the Midwest. Just a couple of weeks ago, “Fall Color Fever” started hitting me, especially seeing all the colorful Aster wildflowers growing around my rural Missouri landscape. Below is one of my favorite captures of the asters, a single aster flower, standing boldly and proudly against the landscape. And I love the profile of this beautiful flower as it seemingly stares into the fall sky:

I’ve been watching the fall color forecasts in the Midwest and I’m planning on 2-3 days of fall color photography next week, when the peak is being forecast. So teaching (photography classes) next week during the night, and shooting fall colors during the day, will make for a long week, but one that will be exhilarating! Hoping to share some colorful posts soon!
