The Spring Migration Continues

After my outing last week at the Burr Oak Woods Conservation Area, we stopped by the James A. Reed Conservation Area on the way home. Among the many active critters there were some Baltimore Orioles that have just migrated back into the area for the summer. Here are a few of my favorite images I captured last week:

Just a few days before these images were captured, I was sure I had heard 1-2 Baltimore Orioles around my rural Missouri home. They quite often return in late spring and we sometimes see them trying to feed from our hummingbird feeders! Although I have not seen any at my home yet this year, I’m now certain I did hear some in the area. :o)
