Today’s post features a couple of images I captured yesterday at the bluebird nest box that I put up in the outside sanctuary area at my Lake of the Ozarks (Missouri) church.
After installing a bluebird box this spring, a pair of Eastern Bluebirds (our state bird) began showing interest in the box. It took them a while, but they eventually built a nest in the box and laid 4 blue eggs. Those eggs recently hatched and the new parents are now busy bringing in insects for the young birds. Here are a couple of images I captured yesterday morning with the male bluebird at the entrance to the nest box:
Coming up … more images of the parents, busy feeding the youngsters.
