Winter Wren

Over the past week, while photographing beavers at my nearby creek, I happened upon a small wren. I’m not positive of the ID, but I believe it to be a Winter Wren (Troglodytes aedon). At first, I thought it might be a House Wren, but it appears to be darker than a House Wren. Another difference between these 2 species is the tail length, with the Winter Wren having a smaller tail. But the tail length is hard to determine in this photo. So, for now, I’m calling it a Winter Wren … and another “life” bird for me! If any of my more experienced birder friends can positively identify this wren, please let me know!
