Spent a wonderful day yesterday with family from my side … dad, my brother & his wife, both my daughters (and one daughter’s boyfriend), a nephew & his wife & child, and a family friend. Like a lot of us do, we managed to stuff ourselves silly, a Thanksgiving tradition for as long as I can remember! And, if my hunches are correct, we will turn around and do the same in a few days when we meet with family from my wife’s side … will we every learn? :o)
While this is fresh in my mind, it made me think of a Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) I ran into while kayaking this past spring:
