One morning last week, I got to experience a great kayak outing in some pretty dense fog. I love to photograph in fog … I love the mystical feeling it can bring to otherwise “normal” photos. During this kayak outing, I had a couple dozen Canada Geese (Branta canadensis) on the water and was able to grab a few interesting images:
As you can see from these images, the fog on this day was constantly changing. One moment, it was difficult to see the geese … the next minute, it nearly cleared, but then the fog would roll back in and create low visibility again! Any time I hear “fog” in the weather forecast, I try to arrange things so I can get outside for some fun shooting.
