Lifer #1

Yesterday’s post featured some young Red-tailed Hawks (Buteo jamaicensis) in a nest. While I was set up photographing them, waiting for some activity, I had the opportunity to photograph a couple of new, “Life” birds. Today’s post features one of those birds, the Eastern Wood-Pewee (Contopus virens). I’m sure I probably run across one of these cute little guys at some time, but didn’t know their identity. Thanks to Ginny, she set me straight. Here are a couple of images I made of the Pewee:
