As we left our motel in Gardiner and headed around Yellowstone’s upper loop road, on our way to Hayden Valley, we ran into heavy fog in the Tower Fall area, so we had to stop to make a few images:
As we neared Hayden Valley, the fog began lifting and soon we were able to watch the herd of bison as they played in Hayden Valley … running through the valley:
… taking dust baths:
… and scores of yearlings romping and playing with each other:
Tomorrow I’ll conclude the Yellowstone bison posts, with a little more playing and jousting. Meanwhile, I’m out the door for another day of shooting Trumpeter Swans, Bald Eagles, Snow Geese, and hopefully another wonderful sunset like we saw last night!
