Today’s images were made in the Maroon Bells area of the Colorado Rockies. We stopped in this area and camped for a couple of days, while returning home from the late summer Alaska photo workshop I led aboard the Delphinus:

In the last image, you can see the wind had picked up steam and the view was not nearly as nice (although still not a bad view!). So, I decided to follow Maroon Creek, hiking from the lower part of the above scene, and found this wonderful scene:
I had heard of this location several times. And I had read that this is one of the most photographed areas in Colorado. So, I “had” to stop here to check it out. Sure glad I did … this is such a beautiful area of the Colorado Rockies (this area is just outside Aspen, Colorado)!
