One of my regular visitors at my birdfeeders:
This male Red-bellied Woodpecker (Melanerpes carolinus) is a very regular visitor to my suet feeder. He will fly in to the feeder (under my covered front porch), peck away at the suet cake until he has a beakful, then flies to this tree to eat. Predictably, he flies to the same tree and the same location within that tree, every time! A noisy bird, but one that gives us a lot of pleasure watching from the comfort of our home on a cold morning!
