Quackers

By far, there were more Mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) than anything else at the Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area during my recent visit. Most of the time, they were farther away from the road, but I did manage to find a few individuals and pairs that were close enough for some photography:

Duck hunting can be a big think in the Midwest, so it is often difficult to get very close to ducks. But every once in a while, ya just get lucky!
