A Fishing Lesson

Ring-billed Gulls (Larus delawarensis) were quite active when the water was not frozen over at Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area (during the cold mornings, the gulls were seen flying and fishing over the nearby Missouri River.

Here is a sequence I shot of one Ring-billed Gull as he fished the area’s waters:

It was a lot of fun watching/photographing the gulls as they fished the waters, diving into the waters, fighting over the fish, and flying around while swallowing the fish in mid-air.
