Another beauty I see every spring in the wooded areas around my home is the Dutchman’s Breeches (Dicentra cucullaria) woodland wildflower. Such a joy to see these dainty little beauties, flapping in the wind as if someone hung out their dirty laundry! Here is a clump of them, showing the entire plant structure, which stands about a foot tall:
And the small clusters of flowers that give this wildflower it’s name:
