Featured Information
Due to my recent move to the Lake of the Ozarks, along with the Covid issues, I am currently not teaching group classes. However, I am available for private individual or very small group, in-the-field teaching, where we can safely learn more about our cameras and our photographic techniques..

I had heard about this beautiful plant, and even one of my country neighbors had found one on his property a few […]
Triangular Orb Weaver
While hiking one of the trails at Burr Oak Woods Nature Center (Blue Springs, Missouri), we came upon several orb weaving spiders. This little guy, a Triangulate Orb Weaver (Verrucosa arenata) was a real find. I’ve only seen these a couple of times previously. With a light wind blowing down the pathway, it was very […]
Lookie, But No Touchie!
On Saturday morning I drove to Blue Springs, Missouri, to take down my 27-print display that ran during the month of August at the Missouri Conservation Department’s Burr Oak Woods Nature Center (and thanks to those that have passed on kind words that they enjoyed the run!). Since I have never hiked any of the […]
