Ahh, Lunch!

During a recent kayak outing, I ran upon this male Prothonotary Warbler (Protonotaria citrea). As he danced around a dead tree trunk at water’s edge, I soon saw why he was so active … lunch was being served!

These little guys are little bundles of energy, always flitting around and never staying still! But oh, so good at catching insects. Hmmm, wonder if I could catch a few and take home for mosquito control?  :o)
