While photographing birds on the beach at St. Petersburg, this Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) flew in and foraged along the edge of a little pool of water. As he approached us, I captured this image: 
Settling on the beach, this little beauty preened a bit and posed for us: 
As he walked over to a nearby pool, we followed and soon saw what he was after: 
The Snow Egret is a beautiful bird. Smaller than a Great Egret, it’s most recognizable feature is it’s “Golden Slippers”. It’s always fun to be with these birds. Photographic Equipment Used:
