While photographing migrating birds at Quivira NWR (Kansas) last month, a wonderful sunset greeted us on our first evening. When the colors started to really “boil”, tons of birds began returning to the refuge for overnight roosting:
It seems like the most awesome sunsets occur over National Wildlife Refuges. It makes especially pleasing photography whenever the migrating birds appear in the brilliantly-colored skies.
