Getting High on Photography

Today’s post features images I captured recently with a new (to me) technology. Recently, I bought a new toy … er, I mean tool. I now have a drone available to capture aerial images. I’m still brainstorming how I can use the drone, but today’s post shows the persepective I can now use with my nature photography. And I’m planning on using the drone with  a lot of my prairie photography, especially when the prairies are at peak bloom with wildflowers. Sunrises and sunsets are also on my list. Should be not only an interesting journey, but a fun one, as well!

The images in this post were captured over and around the Holliwell Covered Bridge, just outside Winterset, Iowa. With fall colors falling on the surrounding landscape, I love the perspective that is available with the drone:

Coming up, I’ll be sharing some images of the “Grandaddy” of the Madison County covered bridges, the Roseman Covered Bridge.

Reminder: For those living close to Kansas City, I’ll have a booth in the “Fall Harvest Holiday Arts & Crafts Show” this Friday and Saturday. Details can be found in the righthand panel of this blog post.
