Today’s post comes from a couple of images I captured this past winter, during a photography trip to Florida. While photographing wading birds at the Ding Darling NWR, a Black-crowned Night Heron flew over one of the refuge pools near me. I typically only see these small herons during the early morning hours, or during late afternoon hours, in low light. So, it was really great that this one cooperated by taking flight in daylight hours!
