Colorful Kayak Trip

Today’s post features an image that I ran upon yesterday, while reviewing my past photographic images. A few years ago, while kayaking at a nearby Missouri Conservation Area, I paddled by a beautiful male Prothonotary Warbler:

In spring, it is always a joy to kayak one of the nearby waterways and see what new warblers have arrived.

Photographic Equipment Used:

  • Canon 7D body
  • Canon 100-400mm, f/4.5-f/5.6 IS lens, at 400mm
  • Handheld, with IS “On”
  • ISO 500
  • Aperture f/8
  • Shutter Speed 1/250 sec.
