Seeing Double Vision

Today’s post features a couple of images I captured a few years ago as I photographed early morning bird activity along the Myakka River (in Myakka River State Park, Florida).

When the waters are calm, there can be some rather nice reflections in the river.

Photographic Equipment Used:

  • Canon 7D body
  • Canon 100-400mm f/4.5 – f/5.6 IS lens
  • Handheld, with IS “On”
  • ISO 1600 (night heron) and ISO 640 (egret)
  • Aperture f/11 (night heron) and Aperture f/9 (egret)
  • Shutter Speed 1/60 sec. (night heron) and 1/2500 (egret)
