Fun Friday: The Itch!

Today’s post features an image I captured on Wednesday. I had an appointment in Camdenton, Missouri, for my annual physical exam. Being so close, I decided to check out nearby Ha Ha Tonka State Park. This decision was made despite the intermittent rain showers and the cool, early spring temperature (41F).

Well, I must have been bitten by a bug while there … the itch has started and spring fever has a hold on me! I was pleasantly surprised to find about a dozen species of woodland wildflowers during my short, one-hour hike. Many of the wildflowers are emerging from the cold, wet ground, but a few were already in the process of blooming! One of the wildflowers that will be blooming any day now is the Trillium (aka, Wake Robin):

Oh, woe is me … I have a dental appointment next week in Camdenton … NOT! I’ve already added a note to that day’s calendar to take my photo equipment with me and hit the park again … the itch is here!!!
