A Humm-dinger

As I was kayaking back to my launch site, after a great morning paddling a Missouri waterway the other morning, I came upon this female Ruby-throated Hummingbird (Archilochus colubris) who was stalking a very small insect (you can see the insect above and to the right of the bird):

Unfortunately, I missed the actual capture of the insect … she was faster than I was!
