Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta) are growing rampant around my rural area this summer … I believe all the rain we’ve received (and continue to get, although not quite as frequently now) has really given these guys a growth spurt! These images were captured the other morning, in a field of wildflowers that is just about 0.3 miles from my home:
The Black-eyed Susans are always a sure sign of summer!
