One of my favorite midwest locations to shoot wildlife and wildflowers in the Wichita Mountains of Oklahoma. During one trip, I had the fortune of being with and photographing Black-tailed Prairie Dogs (Cynomys ludovicianus) in wildflower patches during peak blooms. Here are a few of my favorite ones:
The prairie dogs are always so much fun to be around, particularly when little ones are active, chasing each other around and jumping on each other. I’ll share some young prairie dogs in another post.
