These Green Heron (Butorides virescens) images were made a few years ago when I was photographing in Florida. We stayed for a couple of days with some great friends of ours (Thanks, Tom and Lindsay!) who live in St. Petersburg. Not far from their house was a neat little place where we found some alligators, ducks and green herons. Here are a few of my favorite green heron images:
Florida is a great place to photograph birds. They have a large variety of birds and most of them are quite easy to get close to and photograph.
