Fun Friday: Canon or Nikon?

The age-old question: Which is better, Canon or Nikon? Well, this cow moose seemed to be investigating. While photographing moose at Sandy Stream Pond (in Baxter State Park, Maine), this cow moose calmly walked over to my camera setup (Canon 1D Mark 2 camera + Canon 500mm f/4 lens, on tripod), sniffed the end of the lens, then calmly walked over to another group of photographers and checked out a Nikon setup. Apparently not impressed by any of the setups, she then walked away from us, but not before giving us all an extreme thrill!

  • Canon 1D Mark 2 body
  • Canon EF 100mm-400mm, f/4.5-f/5.6 IS lens
  • Handheld, with IS “On”
  • ISO 280
  • Aperture f/8
  • Shutter 1/160 sec. to 1/250 sec.
