From an earlier kayak outing:
As I kayaked past this nesting Canada Goose (Branta canadensis), whose nest was sitting atop a beaver lodge, I sure got the “evil eye” from Momma Goose. As I picked up my camera and fired off a couple of quick shots, I was envisioning her coming off the nest and right at me in the kayak … Advantage, Goose! That is the one time that I can honestly say that photographing from a kayak would likely not be a great experience. Sitting low in the kayak, I’m sure I would have been an easy target! Fortunately, everything worked out well and both me and Mama Goose parted ways with everything intact!
