This little American Goldfinch (Spinus tristis) seemed to be content just chillin’ out on a small, ice-covered branch near my bedroom window the other day:
The temperature was quite low that morning (about 2F, I believe), making it difficult to imaging chillin’ in those conditions … unless you take this phrase literally!

- Canon EF100mm-400mm, f/4.5-f/5.6 IS lens, at 400mm
- Handheld, through my double-paned bedroom window
- ISO 400 (to get a fast shutter speed, in case of bird movement)
- Aperture f/5.6
- Shutter Speed 1/4000 sec.
