I captured this unique behavior between a couple of Tree Swallows (Tachycineta bicolor) a week ago while kayaking a local Missouri Conservation Area. I don’t think the beak was actually inside the other’s mouth, but sure looked like it from where I was! I suspect the two were simply having a little “spat”. It didn’t last long, but made a great image for this “Fun Friday”. Have a great weekend, all!
