“Fun Friday: Splish-Splash …”

Following this past week’s theme, today’s post also comes my 2006 photo trip to Baxter State Park (Maine) to photograph moose in the fall colors.

As mammals often do, this cow moose decided to shake off the water after lifting her head out of the water while foraging for aquatic plants in Sandy Stream Pond:

Photographic Equipment Used:

  • Canon 1D Mark 2 body
  • Canon EF 500mm, f/4 IS lens
  • Bogen 3221 tripod with ballhead (with 500 mm lens) and Handheld (with 100-400mm lens)
  • ISO 200 to ISO 800, depending on shooting conditions
  • Aperture f/6.3
  • Shutter 1/500 sec.
