Today’s Fun Friday image was taken during my maiden Hallo Bay (Alaska) trip to photograph the Brown Bears (Ursus arctos). These 2 spring cubs were actively playfighting almost every day of our 7-day trip there in the fall of 2004. Fall is the perfect time, in my opinion, to photograph the spring cubs. By fall, they have had a few months to grow stronger and larger, and are now less fearful of humans, but they still have plenty of energy and are still full of playfulness!
Spring cubs, like these two, are one of the reasons I’m very much looking forward to my fall trip to Hallo Bay later this year!
