During our 2008 Orca photo trip, my great friend Tom, who is an avid birder and great nature photographer, sat on the Delphinus’ bowsprit, with his cute birding hat on, as if daring the dirty birdies to hit the target!
I met Tom and his wife Lindsay on my first trip on Delphinus, back in 2006, as we cruised Alaska’s Inside Passage. Since then, I’ve been on several more boat trips with them and try to see them whenever I photograph in Florida, where they live. I always enjoy spending time with the two of them and they both are a great resource when I need help identifying one of our avian friends! Thanks, Tom and Lindsay! :o)
