Today’s post features a few of the Great Blue Herons (Ardea herodias) that are nesting in the Venice Rookery. Great Blue Herons have long been a common bird for most of us. At the Venice Rookery, Great Blues occupy many nests. Here are a few of the images I captured of these large birds at the rookery:
