As I’ve started the long, tedious process of editing the thousands of images made along Nebraska’s Platte River last week, I decided to share a few images of Sandhill Cranes (Grus canadensis) as they flew by me on the way to the fields to forage during the day. I think you will agree these are might handsome birds!
As I dig my way through the editing process, I will share more Sandhill Crane images … as well as some more Whooping Crane images. Yes, I was lucky enough to photograph the lone Whooping Crane (Grus americanus) on 2 more occasions!
