My last post, “Lifer #1”, featured a new Life bird for me, the Eastern Wood-Pewee. While I was there, shooting the baby Red-tailed Hawklets in the nest, my friend Ginny also introduced me to another “lifer”, the Swainson’s Thrush (Catharus ustulatus). Here is an image of this wonderful bird:
Although I was able to watch it flit around where my tripod was set up, I wasn’t able to hear the incredibly melodious song it sings to Ginny in the mornings. Still, another “Lifer” … you gotta love it!
