Today’s image was captured during one of my recent, early morning sunrise hikes at Logan Pass (Glacier NP, Montana). As the sun began to peak over the surrounding mountains, the wildfire smoke created a beautifully colored sky for the sun to try to pierce (this image is one of the images that is appearing in my 2019 nature calendar, at the printer right now, and to be launched for sale soon):
This image was captured using HDR (High Dynamic Range) and combining four images of varying exposures.
Photographic Equipment Used:
- Canon 5D Mark III body
- Canon 28-135mm IS lens, shot at 135mm
- Bogen 3221 tripod with ballhead
- ISO 200
- Aperture f/22
- Shutter 1/45 sec. to 1/1000 sec.
- Four images combined using Photomatix Pro software
