Today’s post features a few more previously unpublished images of wintering Bald Eagles along the Mississippi River, near Davenport, Iowa.
While photographing the eagles fishing in the river, the eagles sometimes fly low over the banks of the river, offering the great joy of capturing images of them low and close to where I was standing.
An adult bald eagle swoops out of the trees and heads full speed to a fish he has spotted near the surface of the river:
