Magnificent Mallards

Continuing from yesterday’s post of my first kayak adventure of 2011, I saw several species of ducks, though mostly Mallards (Anas platyrhynchos). With clear skies, and a wind that was coming from the same direction as the sun, I was able to get some pretty nice flight shots of these beauties, against a nice, blue sky and with front-lighting, always a big plus:
