This Monday’s post is about some Dall Sheep (Ovis dalli) I encountered on one of my trips to Alaska. We flew into Anchorage, rented a car, and were traveling out of Anchorage towards the Kenai Peninsula. As we rounded Windy Corner, just a few miles outside of Anchorage, we noticed about a half dozen Dall sheep grazing along the roadside. There was a convenient turnout on this corner, so we pulled off the road and grabbed our cameras. Here are a few of my favorite images from this unexpected treat:
