Yesterday’s post of the Osprey at the Great Blue Heron rookery was the same rookery I posted on last year. After the osprey caught a fish and flew off to eat it in private, I walked around the pond dam and checked out the nesting status of the rookery. I saw 6-8 Great Blue Herons (Ardea herodias) incubating eggs and several more standing in or near nests. Here are a few images I made of the rookery activity (if you look closely, you will see herons in most of the nests):
