As fall ushers onto the Missouri prairie, the wonderful Blue Sage (Salvia azurea) is showing off it’s beautiful blue color one last time before it goes to sleep over the winter. One of my favorite wildflowers (I think because the blue is such a spectacular blue), I was a bit surprised to see it still blooming in the crisp, fall temperatures. Here are a few of my favorite captures:
