Another common bird at the Lee Metcalf NWR in SW Montana, was the Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus). These are common at home, too, but are always fun to watch! In fact, they are one of the most abundant birds found across America! Here are a couple of images of a male Red-winged Blackbird:
And an occasional female would appear:
Not as brightly colored as the male, but still a beauty.
